Welcome Back Coffee—–April 7, 9:00am

‘Pearls of Golf Wisdom”

All new and returning Niner Golf and Social members should plan to attend our Welcome Back Coffee on April 7 at 9am. The event will take place at the Charbonneau Country Club dining room. Share your “pearls of wisdom” and also expect to pick up a few new ones. Best of all, you can meet and greet your friends, meet new friends and hear some of the Niners’ plans for 2015. There will also be coffee and beverages plus some tasty morning treats to enjoy.

Pearl:  The best days to golf end with a “y”.

We get to enjoy the Niner Academy Award Movie “Pace of Play” which will be full of pearls of wisdom.  The script for our video was written by our very own Virginia Horler, and Lee Zinsli of the Charbonneau Men’s Club produced the video.  You can see many of our talented Niners in the video.

Pearl:  The best putter usually wins.

Our new members will be introduced along with the Big Sister volunteers who can help them through their first few weeks. Recent news for the Niners will also be presented at our meeting as well as a welcome from Charbonneau’s PGA Director of Golf, Chris Bensel.

Pearl:  Hazards attract and fairways repel.

At 10:30am, following the Welcome Back Coffee, the new 2015 Members and Big Sisters will meet in the Card Room for an orientation which will include lots of useful information for new members.   Returning members are welcome to join the meeting for a refresher session.  By the way, contact Virginia Horler if you would like to volunteer as a Big Sister to help a new member.

Pearl:  Golf is a great opportunity to meet new friends

If you would like to play a game of golf following the morning sessions, you may make you own tee times with the Pro Shop. Our first regular game of golf will be April 14 and there will be sign-up sheets available on our Niners’ counter.

Pearl:  Brand new golf balls are water-magnetic.

Thanks to the members working on our Welcome Back event:  Chair Carol Zinsli’s committee includes Lindy Anderson, Jan Landis, Lindy See, Millie Keylock, Cari Hampton and Diane Meyers.  Virginia Horler chairs the New Member Orientation with the assistance of Sally Pond and Cari Hampton.

Pearl:  Golf carts don’t float

Feel lucky?  Bring a spare buck or two for our 50/50 raffle on April 7th.  See you there!
