The Charbonneau Rainbeau

Welcome Back Coffee

April 5th 9:00am

So. . . what is YOUR favorite color of the Charbonneau Rainbeau?  The reference is to our colorful directional sign that points to three different nine-hole courses.  Each course is fun, but they vary in scenery, sand traps, water hazards, length and difficulty.  The colors of green, yellow and red remind us of a rainbow and the the “beau” is the one you absolutely love.  We’ll get a chance to try them all this year!

Our festive Welcome Back Coffee will be in the Clubhouse dining room at 9am April 5th.  Be sure to come and enjoy some light breakfast treats and beverages, and a brief meeting when we will meet our new members for 2016 and catch up on happenings since last year.   After the cold, wet winter, it will be great to get together with fellow Niners to talk about the new season and have some laughs.

Be sure to bring a few bucks to pitch into the “Split the Pot” raffle.  Also, if you would like to play golf following the event, be sure to reserve a tee time at the Pro Shop before April 5th.

Our New Members and their Big Sisters will meet in the Card Room for an orientation session at 10:30am (following the Welcome Back Coffee). New members will receive a copy of the Niners’ Handbook and some helpful information from several of our committee chair people which will make a special welcome.

Our chair for the Welcome Back Coffee is Rose Mason and co-chairs for the New Member Orientation and Big/Little Sister program are Betsy Knudsen and Cari Hampton.  They have all been busy with their committees to plan this special time of the year for the Niners.  Thanks ladies!

Speaking of golfers, there are some “younger” golfers the Niners are sponsoring with our slightly used or new golf equipment and clothing (shoes, hats, rain gear) and also with our dollar contributions when we join the Niners.  They are the members of the Wilsonville High School Girls Golf Team.  Check with Maureen Larsen, Niners’ Liaison with the H.S. team, to get direction on where to deliver any equipment or clothing. You might like to know when the team will be playing their games.  Their first was March 15 at Charbonneau GC.  The rest are listed below if you would like to attend any of them for support of the team.  There are 25 eager young golfers on the team.
